What do you get with this service?
The recap of the optical drive of your Nintendo GameCube. It is widely believed that one of the main reasons the GameCube optical drives stop working is because some of the capacitors of their PCBs have gone out of range. Replaced those capacitors usually fixes the problem.
This is not a guarantee that if your optical drive doesn’t work, a recap will fix it. However it is a commonly followed procedure either as a preventative measure or as an attempt to fix a GameCube that no longer reads discs.
What you don’t get with this service
This is not a repair service of your GameCube overall, and the console needs to turn on and operate as normal apart from not being able to read discs.
The capacitor kit is not included. Sellers such as this one in eBay offer capacitor kits for the GameCube Optical drive at very reasonable prices.
