Order #3668

This was a TLC service for a spiderman PS4. Customer was charged for a PS3 TLC service, as these are equivalent

Console tested fine before servicing, although it was previously opened (or at least, the security label had be taken off). Customer was particularly keen on removing scratches from the top, although I did warn him that polishing can only remove superficial scratches and that it would be difficult to polish the console with the white pattern on top of red plastic. More of that later.

Consoled was completely disassembled and the plastic case was washed with water and soap.

The fan was quite dusty and was thoroughly cleaned.

The heatsink had a substantial amount of dust and fluff and was cleaned well. The battery was also replaced for a high Energiser quality one even if the stock Panasonic was still circa 3V.

The thermal paste in the processor seemed quite dry. It was cleaned well and replaced with fresh thermal paste. Optical drive was also opened and serviced

This console has what appears to be a vinyl gloss white pattern on top of red gloss plastic. This had several deep scratches. A couple of those had gone through the vinyl pater, showing the underlying plastic. A few other scratches did not go through and could be removed. For those scratches in the red plastic alone, some could be polished off although others were to deep to come off.

Console was tested again after reassembly. The spiderman disc that was inside the drive is now included in a separate plastic sleeve.
