What do you get with this service?
Replacement of the capacitors of your SEGA Nomad for SMD equivalents. There are over 30 capacitors to be replaced in a SEGA Nomad distributed across two PCBs. There are three original radial capacitor around the power connector as well as at the bottom of the daughter board.
The capacitor kit is included, using quality capacitors from available capacitor kit sources in the UK. We will always use quality components from available pre-made kit sources in the UK. Please note that we normally do not stock kits, so there might be a delay in processing your console if there are delays on us getting your kit.
What you don’t get with this service
This is not a repair service from a completely dead console. If your console doesn’t show power at all, it might be due a failed power circuit, which might or might not have caused further damage in the chips as explained above. If you would still like us to diagnose and try to repair your console, please get in touch and we can discuss this service separately.
Shipping
You are responsible for shipping the system in adequate packaging to our address. An email will be sent to you after purchase with some suggestions about how to do this as well as shipping details. The cost of you shipping your system to us is not included in the price of the service.
The shipping we do charge for this service is to send the console back to you when the service is finished. To the extent possible, we will use the same packaging material you used to send the system to us in the first place. We will replace packaging material if it is damaged when we receive it at no cost to you.
