What do you get with this service?
Replacement of the capacitors of your Panasonic 3DO FZ-1 and FZ-10 models. This includes the main PCB as well as the optical drive and power board were applicable. Goldstar and Sanyo 3DOs are also possible as long as a capacitor kit can be sourced, but please get in touch before ordering this service for those consoles.
Bad capacitors in 3DO models can lead to bad audio / video or no-power in the console. Power capacitors are known to leak and cause damage in the motherboard.
The capacitor kit is not included as we can’t source reliable capacitor kits within the UK. We recommend using Console5 as a reliable source, but will install any kit that is provided.
What you don’t get with this service
This is not a repair service. Please ensure your system is fully functional as stated in our Terms and Conditions, or contact us before purchasing the service if unsure what will be covered.
The capacitors are not included. You will need to send us the right capacitors for the model you are sending in. Console 5 is a reliable source of quality capacitors but you might find other reliable sources elsewhere that we are not aware of.
Shipping
You are responsible for shipping the system in adequate packaging to our address. An email will be sent to you after purchase with some suggestions about how to do this as well as shipping details. The cost of you shipping your system to us is not included in the price of the service.
The shipping we do charge for this service is to send the console back to you when the service is finished. To the extent possible, we will use the same packaging material you used to send the system to us in the first place. We will replace packaging material if it is damaged when we receive it at no cost to you.
