This service was for a PS3 slim TLC and the installation of a Raspberry Pi provided by the customer for BadWDSD.
The console was in relatively good condition although internally there was quite a lot dust and fluff, particularly around the fan and heatsinks. The console was completely disassembled, the plastic parts washed with water and soap, and other parts (like the fan) thoroughly cleaned.

The thermal past was cleaned and replaced, and the battery also changed.

The optical drive was also opened up and cleaned

The mod itself can be installed with the console partially assembled. It is 4 wires plus power and ground. Most of the solder points are relatively big, although there are a couple relatively small. When routing the cables, is important to avoid the area where the CPU / GPU clamp is going to press down into the motherboard to avoid the cables to be damaged.
The Raspberry Pi was mounted with double sided tape on the side of the fan assembly.

The console was then reassembled and tested. On boot, it beeps three times and boots the HEN dashboard as normal. When enabling Hen, a message appears that says BadWDSD has been detected. This is indication that the mod has worked. No further steps have been taken and the software modding needs to be finalised by the customer as agreed.
Finally plastic enhancer was used on the black shell for a better polished look.
