What do you get with this service?
The installation of an xStation Optical Drive Emulator (ODE) into your PlayStation 1 console, replacing the stock optical drive. This will allow you to play games from any region directly from an SD card.
xStations can be installed in PU-8 and PU-18 motherboard, but the kit you will need is different. Please check the motherboard of your console to make sure is compatible and send the right kit with your console.
If you want an SD card mount you will need to provide an SD card extender and the 3D printed mount. We will be happy to print the mount if you can’t provide one, but you will still need to provide the extender.
While this service doesn’t include an SD card, we will configure an SD card that you send to us with your console.
What you don’t get with this service
This is not a repair service. Please ensure your system is fully functional as stated in our Terms and Conditions, or contact us before purchasing the service if unsure what will be covered.
This is only an installation service. The xStation, SD card and extension cables are not included (although we will be happy to print this SD card mounting bracket if you cannot provide one). Please get in touch in advance if you have any questions.
Shipping
You are responsible for shipping the system in adequate packaging to our address. An email will be sent to you after purchase with some suggestions about how to do this as well as shipping details. The cost of you shipping your system to us is not included in the price of the service.
The shipping we do charge for this service is to send the console back to you when the service is finished. To the extent possible, we will use the same packaging material you used to send the system to us in the first place. We will replace packaging material if it is damaged when we receive it at no cost to you.
