Order #3826

This service was for a Triple Bypass on a Sega Multi Mega (i.e. Sega CDX). The 3BP was sourced from RetroUpgrades, which includes Composite restoration.

Disassembly required to remove the copper shield and detach the motherboard from the main console.

The installation of the 3BP requires removing a number of components. All the component were left attached to one of the pads just in case one day the console needs to be returned to stock. However r75 and r76 had to be replaced for 4.7K Ohm resistors and those could not be kept with the board.

Installing the actual 3BP motherboard then requires wiring all the audio cables, the RGB points, and in this case, the composite lines as well so that the console can be used both with RGB and composite output using the DIN 9 connector. Console tested well with a Mega Drive 2 SCART cable for RGB. Console was also given a light shine with plastic enhancer.
