This order was for the installation of an Xstation in a 5xxx model PS1. The customer sent the Xstation and the console, and I provided the 3D printed mount and the SD card extension.
The console came in good condition, PU-18 motherboard. The installation of this mod requires first the lifting of some of the pins in IC701, and the the soldering of a QSB at the bottom of the console. This QSB connects the motherboard with the Xstation PCB.

A small SMD components needs to be removed before wiring the PLL point from the QSB to the motherboard

One of the posts in the plastic shell needs to be cut in order to avoid damage to the ribbon cable. Once installed, the SD card needs to be prepared with the latest Xstation firmware, and games placed in appropriate folders.

For long time install, a SD card extension was sought, and a modular mount was printed to allow installation with the extension.
