The service was for the TLC of a black PS2. The customer also sent a new tray, as the one that was installed in the console had the front snapped. The console has somewhat dirty and had also been opened before as the warranty sticker was missing.
First step was full disassembly of the console and blow of loose dust with an air blower.
The second step was to wash the plastic shell with water and soap
The thermal pads were then changed, and the battery also swapped for a new one
The DVD drive was disassembled and cleaned thoroughly. The tray was swapped. The drive belt was also replaced for a new one. The rails and gears were lubricated with white lithium grease.
Console was then tested with PS2 and PS1 games. The drive works very smoothly now.
Console was put back together, scratches removed and a plastic enhancer was applied
