Special Edition Crystal Original Xbox , modded with a ModXo modchip flashed with PrometheOS and Cerbios 3.1. The HDD has been replaced by a 1TB Western Digital SATA disk, an ASUS 80 pin IDE cable and an IDE-to-SATA adapter of the Startech brand, which is widely regarded as the most stable and fastest adapter available.
The console is in good cosmetic condition, and has been fully refurbished, including overall cleaning, change of thermal paste on the GPU and CPU, cleaning and lubrication of the the DVD drive, including changing the belt to ensure no issues with the opening and closing of the tray. There is however some wear and tear, including minor stains, scratches, etc.
The DVD drive is working well, although drives of this age will eventually stop working and we recommend playing games from the HDD if possible.
The CPU capacitors of the motherboard have also been replaced.
In terms of software, this Xbox defaults to the UIX-Lite , which is a modified version of the iconic Xbox dashboard with additional menus to access games, homebrew applications, emulators, etc. These can be installed by connecting to the console via FTP. Other dashboards such as the XBMC4Gamers are accessible and can be set to boot by default by modifying the Cerbios.ini file (if you boot from a Cerbios BIOS in PrometheOS). PrometheOS is configured to auto boot to the Cerbios bank, but you can stop that with the controller at any time.

- Use PrometheOS to perform a variety of functions such as flash new BIOS, change the console’s region, HDD lock / unlock, etc
- Play region-free backup games directly from the HDD
- Connect remotely via FTP
- Run homebrew apps such as emulators
- Run different dashboards and configure how your user interface looks like
- Play region free DVD movies
This is originally a PAL console from the UK and therefore expects 220v as input. If you are planning to use this console in a country that uses 110v, you will need a step up transformer or will need to swap the internal PSU for one of the same model from your region.
