What do you get with this service?
Replacement of the capacitors of your FM Towns Marty. Please choose which option you want from the drop-down list. The Towns Marty has 3 main board i.e. the Power Supply Unit (PSU), the motherboard and the CD-ROM drive board. Power issues might be related to the PSU, and CD-ROM issues may be caused by both the motherboard and the CD drive board. A preventative full recap is recommended for this system as they are known to fail and affect functionality.
Please note that the capacitors are not included as part of this service. We recommend Console5 capacitor kits for this one, as not reliable source of capacitor kits for the FM Towns Marty can be found in the UK. Please make sure you order the right capacitor kit for your PSU revision. If in doubt, please as in advance.
What you don’t get with this service
While replacing capacitors might help issues related with the console, this is not a repair service. Please ensure your system is fully functional as stated in our Terms and Conditions, or contact us before purchasing the service if unsure what will be covered.

Shipping
You are responsible for shipping the system in adequate packaging to our address. An email will be sent to you after purchase with some suggestions about how to do this as well as shipping details. The cost of you shipping your system to us is not included in the price of the service.
The shipping we do charge for this service is to send the console back to you when the service is finished. To the extent possible, we will use the same packaging material you used to send the system to us in the first place. We will replace packaging material if it is damaged when we receive it at no cost to you.
