What do you get with this service?
This service swaps your SEGA Game Gear shell for a new one. Good quality new shells for the Game Gear are now sold at accessible prices, in UK-based sellers such as RetroSix. Whether your Game Gear is looking tired or you want a new look, you might want to consider replacing the entire shell for a new one.
This service can also include swapping your sound and power modules, as good quality new power and sound modules are also being sold and can replace your stock boards inside the Game Gear. This includes changing the speaker if a new one is sent.
What you don’t get with this service
This is not a repair service. Please ensure your system is fully functional as stated in our Terms and Conditions, or contact us before purchasing the service if unsure what will be covered. If your console turns on but the screen doesn’t work, please check our recap service which might fix this problem. If your console has not be recapped, we recommend that this is done prior to any further work.
The new shell, audio, speaker, power modules are not included. You can buy these from local UK shellers such as RetroSix.
Shipping
You are responsible for shipping the system in adequate packaging to our address. An email will be sent to you after purchase with some suggestions about how to do this as well as shipping details. The cost of you shipping your system to us is not included in the price of the service.
The shipping we do charge for this service is to send the console back to you when the service is finished. To the extent possible, we will use the same packaging material you used to send the system to us in the first place. We will replace packaging material if it is damaged when we receive it at no cost to you.
