Black PlayStation (board revision GH-015) hardmoded with a Modbo 5.0 modchip.
The modchip will allow you to play any PS1 or PS2 game disc, original or backup, regardless of the region, by just inserting the disc. While software-based solutions like FreeMcBoot would support most of these functionality, this modchip offers an easier and more compatible experience overall.
Since this revision is a V-5 (model number SCPH-30003 R), it doesn’t need a matrix PicFix chip and therefore it is not installed.
Things you can do with a hard modded PS2
- Play any regions discs by just inserting them into the console
- Play back-up games
- Control some aspects of the PS2 operation such as video outputs and boot modes.
This console has been thoroughly cleaned and refurbished through the same process we offer in our TLC Refurbishment service. It has also been tested with original NTSC and PAL PS1 and PS2 game discs.
Please note that while the overall conditions is good, the console does have some small scratches. Also note that the sticker on the back was damaged so it has been removed. Please look at the photos carefully and ask questions if in doubt.
