The order was for the installation of a PS1 modchip and a Dual Frequency Oscillator. The modchip installed was a Mayumi V4 made by Topvint.
The console was in relatively good condition but had a crack near the left controller port. This was mentioned by the customer before sending the console. The motherboard revision was PU-23.
First the modchip was installed and tested.
Second was the installation of the DFO. For this a small resistor requires removal before soldering the chip’s connections
The console now is able to play any region game at the right frequency, as well as burnt games 🙂
