This order was for a TLC of an original Xbox. The console was fairly dirty and had been opened before, probably to remove the clock capacitor, which was absent on the motherboard. Apart from that, it had no rubber feet, the CPU capacitors were bulging, and the shield was rusty in places. The console did boot and the DVD drive seem operational (apart from a sticky tray). However the console took an abnormal amount of time from booting animation to dashboard, stuck for a few seonds before the Microsoft logo appears on the screen.

Customer was consulted and agreed to replace the CPU capacitors and sand and paint the shield, however that didn’t fix the long booting time, which is probably due to a dying HDD (modding and replacement of the HDD is recommended)
The console was washed and cleaned. First the shell and fan, then replacing the thermal paste on the CPU and GPU. Finally the DVD drive was opened and cleaned and relubricated. The tray belt was replaced so that the tray doesn’t stick anymore.

The shields were removed from the console and sanded, then painted

Finally the console was reassembled. The DVD was tested and plastic enhancer was applied before packing the console back for shipping.
