Order #6586

This order is for the TLC of a silver phat PS2 and a PS3 slim.

The PS2 came with a number of stickers in it as well as many small scratches across the silver paint. This is normal for this model of the consoles. Otherwise, the console worked fine, reading PS2 and PS1 games with no problem. Inside, there was a fair amount of dust and dirt throughout, although nothing too excessive. The first task was to completely disassemble the console and wash the shell with warm water and soap.

The following tasks were to replace the thermal pads of the CPU and GPU, as well as a couple of smaller one in a few chips. The battery was also replaced

The fan was also cleaned as was the DVD player. The drive belt was replaced. Finally, the was a spot of rust in the metal caddy for the HDD, which was sanded as to remove the rust. The warranty sticker, which was removed with hot air for preservation, was put back.

The PS3 seemed in very good condition externally, but was very, very dusty inside, with plenty of fluff and dirt everywhere.

Further disassembly reveals more dust and fluff. The thermal past was replaced as was the battery

The blu-ray drive was also disassembled and cleaned. It was extremely dirty even if it was reading discs fine. New lithium grease was applied

The shell was also also washed with warm water and soap after blowing all the dust out of it. Console was then reassembled and further tested.
